  • July 2004 - Victor D'Souza has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Polyair Inter Pack Inc. (AMEX, TSX: PPK). Through its Polyair Division, the company manufactures protective packaging and through its Cantar Pool division, manufactures swimming pool accessory products sold throughout North America. Polyair operates ten manufacturing facilities, seven of which are based in the United States where the Company generated approximately 85% of its annual sales. Previous to this appointment, Mr. D'Souza had been President and CEO of Imperial PlasTech Inc. which he had established in 1989.

  • June 2004 - Andy Wilson, John Yarnell and Bill Thomson have teamed up to create YTW Growth Capital Management Corporation, a partnership which will be listing and investing in Capital Pool Companies and is currently sourcing both investment funds and investee companies.

  • June 2004 - Tony Burt has joined Wright Environmental Management Ltd. as Chief Financial Officer. Wright Environmental is the world's largest supplier of completely enclosed, continuous composting systems. Customers include municipalities operating waste processing facilities, companies operating waste transfer, processing and energy from waste facilities and institutions processing their own waste on-site. Mr. Burt provides CFO services on a part time basis and, as a senior financial executive and business manager with extensive experience, he provides the financial preparation and guidance required by SMEs in times leading up to and during rapid growth.

  • May 2004 - John Yarnell has been appointed a Director of Imperial PlasTech Inc. (TSX-VEN: IPG) as it transitions from interim management following a successful restructuring under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA). Imperial PlasTech is a diversified plastics manufacturer supplying a number of markets and customers in the residential, construction, industrial, oil and gas and telecommunications and cable TV markets with facilities in Atlanta Georgia, Peterborough Ontario and Edmonton Alberta. Mr. Yarnell is the President of Yarnell Companies Inc., an investment and management services company formed in 1978 to invest and manage venture capital initiatives, and is the founder and retired Chairman of the Quorum Group of companies (Venture Capital).

  • May 2004 - Robert Gallop has joined Imperial PlasTech Inc. (TSX-VEN: IPG) as Chief Financial Officer as the company transitions from interim management following a successful restructuring under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA). Imperial PlasTech is a diversified plastics manufacturer supplying a number of markets and customers in the residential, construction, industrial, oil and gas and telecommunications and cable TV markets with facilities in Atlanta Georgia, Peterborough Ontario and Edmonton Alberta. Mr. Gallop has extensive senior level financial experience in a variety of industries and is principal of Horseshoe Consulting, acting as advisors and implementers of solutions to strategic, operational and financial issues.

  • May 2004 - Marc Kealey has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (Interim) of the Ontario Pharmacists' Association with a mandate to move the association closer to government, collaborate with stakeholders and manage the day-to-day operations. The OPA is a voluntary professional association for pharmacists and pharmacists-in-training in all sectors of pharmacy practice and has over 5,500 members. Mr. Kealey has several years experience as a senior health care executive and consultant. Most recently, he was General Manager at Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. and he currently sits on the Board of Governors of the Ontario Smart Systems for Health Agency and other private sector companies in addition to being an advisor to Hill & Knowlton Canada.

  • April 2004 - Scott Sullivan has joined Wright Environmental Management Inc. as President & Chief Executive Officer. Wright Environmental is the world's largest supplier of completely enclosed, continuous composting systems. Customers include municipalities operating waste processing facilities, companies operating waste transfer, processing and energy from waste facilities and institutions processing their own waste on-site. Scott Sullivan brings over 25 years of experience in senior level General Management, Marketing, Sales and Operations in Canada and internationally.

  • January 2004 - Alex Bilyk has been appointed Director or Marketing and Communications at the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. In the 2004 Financial Times Rankings, Ivey was ranked 29th out of 100 and is the only Canadian business school that has been ranked among the top 35 schools for five consecutive years. Mr. Bilyk is an internationally experienced executive whose expertise include outsourcing, alliance management and governance, public relations and marketing communications, sales support, negotiations and employee mentoring and development.
